PowerMTA · KumoMTA · Deliverability
We run the email infrastructure that high-volume senders depend on.
PowerMTA Experts is a European email-infrastructure consultancy. We audit, tune and operate PowerMTA for high-volume senders — and migrate them to KumoMTA when the platform’s roadmap no longer fits, with reputation, authentication and in-flight mail preserved.
Trusted to operate the layer that decides whether mail reaches the inbox.

Why this matters now
Reaching the inbox is now an infrastructure problem.
Through 2024 and 2025, Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft moved from filtering non-compliant mail to rejecting it outright. Authentication and reputation are no longer best practice — they are the price of reaching anyone at all.
At the same time, the most widely deployed sending software, PowerMTA, lost its dedicated support and development teams after its acquisition. Senders are not panicking. They are planning the move — and that is where we work.

PowerMTA → KumoMTA, without a deliverability cliff.
KumoMTA was built by the architect behind the original PowerMTA engine. It is open source, modern and free — but its configuration lives entirely in Lua, and it ships no web UI by design. We translate your estate, preserve reputation, and operate it afterward if you want.

Where the inbox is hardest
The same email lands differently by region.
Europe runs the highest inbox placement in the world, shaped by GDPR and double opt-in. Latin America is the fastest-improving region. Deliverability is no longer one global setting — it is a localized strategy, and we work in the languages those markets actually use.

We start where most consultants stop — at the infrastructure.
Anyone can read a dashboard. The work that changes outcomes happens in the MTA configuration, the transaction logs, the IP reputation and the message headers. That is the layer we have operated for years, across PowerMTA and KumoMTA, for senders pushing serious volume.

FAQ
Common questions
Is PowerMTA still worth running in 2026?
For senders with an existing PowerMTA estate, often yes — it still moves a large share of commercial email. The open question is the roadmap: since the product was folded into Bird’s omnichannel platform, its dedicated support and development have thinned. We keep PowerMTA performing while it earns its keep, and plan the move to KumoMTA on your timeline.
How long does a PowerMTA to KumoMTA migration take?
Most migrations run two to six weeks, depending on your VirtualMTA count, IP estate and data volume. We mirror configuration, preserve IP reputation, and cut over per IP pool so deliverability never meets a cliff.
Will migrating to KumoMTA hurt my deliverability?
It should not. Reputation lives with your sending IPs and domains, not with the software. We preserve DKIM keys, SPF and warmup state, and validate inbox placement against seed lists before and after each cutover.
Do you resell PowerMTA or KumoMTA licenses?
No. KumoMTA is open source and free; PowerMTA is licensed by Bird. We stay independent — you own your licenses and infrastructure, and we operate or advise on top of them.
Which regions and languages do you cover?
English and German for European senders, and Spanish and Portuguese across Latin America — a gap most English-only consultancies leave open. Our team spans European, North American and Latin American time zones.
